Heatable Dispensers

Basically piezoelectric microdispensers work well in a certain viscosity range (up to 5 mPa·s). Substances of higher viscosity can be succesfully dispensed when...

  • Diluted applying an appropriated solvent (Micro droplets evaporate very rapidly)
  • The viscosity lowers due to heating.

Features

  • Piezo-electrically driven microdispensers with the ability to eject droplets down to 0.25 nanoliters
  • Micro dispensers are enclosed by a heater element
  • Various types with different fluidic and electrical connectors available
  • Programmable control device multi-dos (Dispensers Accessories)
  • Stroboscope unit for visual control of the operation (Dispensers Accessories)

A separate heater exists for this reservoir. In addition, vacuum or pressure from an external source can be applied. Pressure is used to prime the microdispenser while a slight vacuum helps to keep the nozzle free of adhesive.

Influence of the viscosity on the dosage volume:  Lower viscosity ( = higher temperature) increases drop size and speed. Enlarge...
